SEPULTURA - Nation (Roadrunner)
From the anthemic call-to-arms of album opener "Sepulnation" straight through new Sepul-classics like "Border Wars" to the tribal pound of "Uma Cura" of the low and rumble of "Water", Sepultura have delivered their most diverse record. Both intense and intellectual, combining equal parts ferocity and complexity. The first Sepultura album to be recorded in Brazil since the band's initial worldwide release ("Beneath the Remains" - 1989) "Nation" proves better than ever, that Sepultura is a band with something to say. Recorded with contributions from various artists like Finnish String Quartet Apocalyptica, Brooklyn Dub-reggae legend Dr. Israel and Hatebreed vocalist Jamey Jasta, "Nation" is neither a sequel to the Sepultura of old, nor is it a sequel to "Against". It is simply a musical statement of a band without borders. (ks)

THE PRESIDENTS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA - Freaked Out And Small (Musicblitz/Roadrunner)
The band around Dave Dederer and Chris Ballew is back again - stronger than ever. The Presidents have kept on "Freaked Out And Small" their very own special sound but broadened it with a rough and dominating wall of guitars. Their recent style brings them on a new path that they already approached a bit with their last recordings. Explosive, speedy songs dominate the album, useless midtempo-tracks are looked for in vain. And as a special appitizer the Presidents have invited for the bass-part on "I'm Mad" none less than Ex-Guns'n Roses member Duff McKagan to the Seattle studio session. So welcome The Presidents Of The United States Of America in the hard-pop universe... (ks)

TERRORVISION - Good To Go (Papillon/Roadrunner)
After two long years finally the waiting period is over and our british darlings Terrorvision are back with a new album. And they deliver full service: from trashy rocksongs like "Come Home Beanie" or "Days Like These" to wunderful pop-tunes on their first single "D'Ya Wanna Go Faster" to pure melody-magic on the sensitive "From Out Of Nothing" theres something in it for everyone. Hopefully they finally find the support they deserve with their new record label. Their music is worth it. (ks)
